THE VALUE OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN CANADA

Canada has some of the highest levels of female entrepreneurial activity among innovation-driven economies. Nearly one million women owned and operated their own businesses in Canada in 2014, comprising 36% of the total self-employed.

Internationally, both the G7 and the G20 have identified that supporting women’s entrepreneurship is a priority economic development strategy in both developing and developed economies.
